WHY I LOVE THE BOOTH CENTRE

My name is Gary Pearson and I’m 23yrs I’ve been taking part in the Booth Centre now for 4yrs and the truth is if it wasn’t for the friendly and very helpful service from staff at the Booth Centre I wouldn’t be as well off as I am today. I first came to the Booth Centre in 2002 as a homeless & very depressed and distressed drug addict, desperate for help with accommodation and help with filling my time with various activities as a substitute for spending a lot of time being a drug addict of 10yrs (cannabis, ecstasy& amphetamines).

After spending a few days in the care of the staff at the Booth Centre I was found some accommodation in a city centre hostel, and from that day forth I consistently spent time taking part in the miscellaneous activities available to me e.g. (Art, Pottery, Photography, Creative Writing, Bowling, Golf, Gym & working towards various qualifications in I.T., Cooking, health & safety & first aid.

Now 4yrs on I’m no longer a drug addict I have a healthy lifestyle I am also a non smoker after being a smoker for 12yrs. So now I enjoy my days an international evangelist taking part in a frontline training ministry anointed at dealing with the inner cities of the world reaching the un reachable drug addicts, prostitutes, gangmembers and the down cast of society rebuilding broken lives and spreading the GOOD NEWS about the gospel of JESUS CHRIST at various Christian establishments since being baptised at the Cathedral next door to the Booth Centre 3yrs ago.
