Our volunteers work as part of a small team. Their work is central to the work of the centre. We provide induction, support and training. Volunteers help to serve drinks and sandwiches, they join in the activities, help with the advice work and spend a lot of time listening to people.
We are always interested in hearing from people who are thinking of volunteering. We need people who can commit themselves to working 2 mornings or afternoons a week. If you are interested contact us and ask to speak to Kevin. He will arrange a time for you to come and have a look round the centre. You will then be given an application form and be asked to provide details of 2 people who can give you a reference.
We are also keen to hear from people who can speak Russian, Polish, Slovakian, Bulgarian, Czech, Lithuanian or Latvian and would be able to help us to converse with the new Eastern Europeans who use the Centre.
