Gabriel

My name is Gabriel. I am doing voluntary work from the Booth Centre with the Ashton and Manchester Wooden Canal Boat Society. Working out of Portland Basin, Ashton, restoring and renovating old wooden canal boats. Also recycling with the society to raise funds for a heritage centre in Stalybridge.

We do a lot of activities at the Booth Centre and I'll have a go at anything. In the time I've been coming here I've had a go at:

• canoeing (very wet)

• abseiling (very exhilarating)

• quad bikes (frightening)

• deep sea fishing (very good)

• mountain bikes (different)

• horse riding (very sore)

• camping (also very wet but good)

• photography (interesting)
